St. Paul's loves to have people join our official membership.

But because membership is an important matter that a person should do for the right reason and at the right time, it is good for you to check out and get to know our congregation first.

If you are interested in becoming a member, contact Pastor Joseph Fricke, or Pastor Vanderhoof, who can give specific details on what steps you could take.

Basically:

Those who are already members of a Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) congregation and have moved into our area need to simply contact our pastor to have their membership transferred.

Those who have been instructed and confirmed in a different Lutheran church body or those who have been away from active membership for some time are usually directed to take a refresher Bible class - Into the Bible - and then come in by profession of faith.

A person who has a different church background or little biblical training needs to take the Into the Bible class and be confirmed as a Lutheran.

The steps to becoming a member should be taken slowly and carefully and someone should become a member when they are sure they believe the same as the congregation.  Those who have not come to this point yet are welcomed and encouraged to visit at worship and take advantage of Bible studies, activities and programs.

E-mail spsec@mwt.net to request a visit by Pastor Fricke, or Pastor Vanderhoof  to talk about becoming a member.
